i'm always right.

Text convo between one of "them" that held me back and myself...

Me (while watching the vma's): Did
you see the guy?!? it's cee lo...that's the one i swore to ya'll was famous and
no one believed me. apologies are in order?!? :)

JC: Sweet is he rich?

Me: Im assuming. He's the wizard
behind goodie mob outkast and gnarls barkley. i sound like i know him...i
don't.

JC: You are a big fan and want to
make out with him.

Me: Fine. Caught me. I have his
pic by my bed. his song as my ringtone. i'm convinced its
love.

JC: Sounds like it.
yay!

(I'm not taking the "yay!" part lightly...but I do appreciate the ! at the end. I can tell you're really happy for me.)

On a regular Sunday Funday in ATL, we ran into Cee Lo having brunch with his fam. The diehard Goodie Mob and Outkast fan that I am...I knew he was someone BIG. (At the time, I couldn't think of his name to save my life...i should swear off mimosas and bloody marys!) No one believed me, and held me back from saying something to him. It's not like I was going to start crying, convulsing at his feet and beg for an autograph. (i did contemplate the idea, though.) I was merely looking for a quick hello, phone number and tickets to the next show. Come on people...is that asking too much? Now ya'll have left me broken-hearted, and holding on to a love that will never amount to anything...
